Married Members and Family Life
Those called to marriage and family life seek to bring about the Kingdom of God in the midst of the world, working to sanctify the temporal from within as a leaven:
“In this way they may make Christ known to others, especially by the testimony of a life resplendent in faith, hope and charity” Lumen Gentium
Married members have found inspiration from the Benedictine tradition for living a radical form of Christian lay life, creating a culture founded not on worldly values, but on the Word of God. They seek to witness to Christ in the family, the workplace and the parish, being people of prayer, and building Community united in the Spirit of Christ. They recognise their special mission to raise children formed in the faith and the love of God, to proclaim the Gospel through their work, and to shed the redeeming light of Christ on the ordinary aspects of daily living.
